how many will back the posties up?. This is yet another sell off .... Will all the folks on here who backed the miners up also back the posties up.. I am guessing not. To that end I will call them hypocrites. They are looking at closing down the 6 day delivery to just a 3 day . we are the only country right now who does this service, Protect the mail is what I say.

Email is very un-personal.
With a real letter people have to use their whole body to send one, their brain to think it up, their hands to write it, their mouth to lick the envelope, their feet to walk to the post box . I like letters, I dislike email because they are so impersonal .
Just my opinion but I cant see why everything needs to be instant in todays world. Just think about sex, if you just dived straight into it without the foreplay , it would be far less enjoyable and over in no time!! Same with most things, take a step back and enjoy life instead of rushing through everything !

 

take out the Royal Mail...

and then go on ..amazon..E_bay etc to buy... I tell you without Royal Mail.. E-Bay, Amazon, TNT, Parcel, Force, DPS, oh and especially city Link (CL the most inapt carrier ever)

The reactionary government that is the Tories decide to privatise the royal mail which actually made a profit last year and the same day we hear news that privatised firms in the prison/justice sector are nicking money off the government. Totally stinks yet again. And will the MPs have their 11% pay rise stopped after consultation even when 'we are all in it together' and many in the public sector have had a pay freeze for years? I doubt it. Totally stinks. They are all corrupt, they all lie, they deceive, they persecute but they always make sure that their own position in a decaying society is still at the top. Labour is just as bad.

An overwhelming number of couriers still use Royal Mail and parcel forces hub for shipping and charge you less as a consumer to do so than the post office.

If more people had backed the miners we wouldn't be facing this today...

Will you still give them your vote next time though? And I cover both showers of **** with that.

I back the posties on this, said for years it should never have been deregulated. For years companies have been allowed to cream off the profitable parts leaving Royal Mail to have to do the unprofitable parts.
Public services should be just that - and the profitable parts used to subsidise the non-profitable parts.
