Really wish McNulty wouldn't fanny about like he does

Got caught out twice in his own box. Do that in the season and it would have been game over, I really want the lad to play well but I really can't see him doing so in this division. Yes it was only a friendly, but still. Other than that I thought we played really well in patches and was a good work out.

He even scares people in a fcukin friendly. Seems to have had a recurrence of the Beckenbauer Syndrome

I thought that the majority of the players played well but i'm VERY worried by the fact that McNulty will be needed more this season as we are a defender short. Seems a nice man but dear god he's awful

Didn't really notice him much to be honest but I think that was more because the young lads on the other side were exceptional and took the limelight a little.

McNulty annoyed me within seconds of going on, pratting about and having a laugh and a joke with Kennedy. I know it's only a friendly but he just doesn't seem to have his head screwed on right

I think the criticism of McNulty wants reining in a bit. He played 30 minutes of a friendly, and did little wrong and we conceded nowt.

I mean, if we're now on at him for laughing, then I give up. I really do.

If he turns out to be *****, fair enough, point it out. But now int the time IMO.

Totally agree, it seems obvious now that McNulty is to be this seasons boo boy. Some people are just pathetic. 30 minutes in a friendly FFS. Etuhu didn't do a lot and neither did Dawson why aren't people moaning about them?

Maybe because Dawson and Etuhu are usually top players for us. McNulty is a consistently ***** player and how you can say he did very little wrong is beyond me.

Ok here's a truth to get your head around. Dawson is a player of limited ability who is more likely to get booked or sent off than score any goals. He's fearsome tackler and competitive player, just the kind of midfielder you need in the lower leagues. He's out of his depth in the Championship and is too easily outwitted and cannot pass with any degree of accuracy. Mad dog is an accurate description, liability is the reality.

    It's a game of opinions, that's mine.

Fair enough, like you said it's a game of opinions.

Mine on McNumpty would be that he has the footballing ability that would be an insult to league 2 football. Lacks every aspect that you would expect a defender to have, no pace and tries to play a passing style of football yet he couldn't find a pass to save his life. Stephen Foster must be insulted that he wasnt offered a contract yet that donkey was.

    Game of opinions and that.

I'd rather have one of those yellow training defenders at CB in all honesty...

    He didn't get caught once.

He was put in awful positions and remained calm. Looked twice the player that Nyatanga did.

Going to have to agree with Dyson, as much as i like Nyatanga. Barring Nyatangas goal line clearance Mcnulty made far less mistakes than him, thought Mcnulty dealt with the problems he was put under okay.

Ok, so I feel I need to give my two penneth on this.

JOB - in reality, very limited in ability. Works his socks off, and that's always going to endear him to many a Barnsley fan. Because they like grafters, and fear crafters. Today, he did nothing, other than chase after people. Same old JOB. There will come times next season, where we need his workrate. But technically, I fear he just isn't good enough. Under Hill he shone, as everyone else was so bad. Now everyone else has stepped up, we are seeing the old JOB.

Daws - personally, I think he's overachieving. Again, another grafter. But amid a midfield of Jacob, Kelvin & Perks, he just lacks for me. Heart & soul, but again, always feels like he's one reckless challenge away from a mad sending off. Right now, not a first choice. My concern is that Flicker is trying to shoe-horn him in, which shifts us from a very balanced 3-5-2, to a dodgy 4-4-2

Jacob - class act in a middle 3. See above - Flickers penchant for Daws is unsettling the balance, and shoving him out wide. This worries me

Perks - no brainer, first on the team sheet.

Etuhu - another no brainer. Total revelation, the heartbeat of all we achieved last season. For anyone to suggest an 18-yr old academy player would usurp him, is madness. Played in the right way, could be the best CM in the Champ

Digby - so far, so good. Has been in the gym and bulked up. Has a great touch and shows huge potential, but lacks Champ experience. Needs blooding in the right way, and has work to do, before he becomes a first XI choice. To suggest he replaces Perks or Etuhu is just idiotic...sorry

McNulty - **** me. Scares the $hit outta me. Even in a friendly, he's dicking about with the ball in the penalty box. What can I say? For me, No reason at all to consider him anything like a first choice. Will be Flickers's biggest achievement, turning him into a Champ defender

    Enjoy

McNumpty - Insult to professional football.

JOB - Should spend less time on Twitter looking for "banter" and more time becoming a footballer.
