Dont forget that when a certain striker gets fit...

Dagnall doesn't work hard enough, Scotland is too old, COG needs to man up

Deary me. The hub of our revival last season, an absolute revelation, our Yaya. And he gets dropped like a stone, for an 18 yr old lad who's had a good 20 minutes in a pre-season friendly. I obviously have a lot to learn

What are you saying then? I'm basing my choice on a season of outstanding Championship level midfield performances, week in week out, during one of our toughest seasons in recent years, and a 2013 that will go down in BFC legend.

You are, however, saying it off the back of no time in competitive championship matches. I think he'll be a good player but Jesus to claim one of our best players last year should be dropped just because a kid's done well in a bit of a friendly and the odd youth match is crackers.

There's a serious problem with this board.

Never seen as many threads started aimed at one person. It's petty, daft and a beyond boring nar lads.

Digby is three times the player Etuhu is on the ball.

Agreed. Outstanding technique. Looks a real prospect, ala Butterfield/Stones etc.

I'd still pick Kelv initially. His performances in competitive fixtures last season warrant that loyalty. Dawson as competition for Perkins. Cywka to compete with Mellis. So then Digby as understudy/competitor to Kelv??

And Jim O'Brien to add depth/running abart.

Giyorrr, it's just a bit of fun. This one is any rooerd. :D Thing about open forums Liam, one provocative statement is read by dozens of people, all of whom have the right to reply and they do. It might appear like folk are ganging up on Hemsworth, but they're not. These are individual opinions and reactions to his statements, the fact that so many disagree with him is his own doing, it isn't contrived or planned. His general behaviour on here is very challenging too, which again does him no favours. I don't take him seriously and try to just have a laugh nowadays.

Now, young Digby. When the time is right and his growing pains are well behind him, I can see him playing his way into the first team. Not seen much of him, but for a big lad he doesn't strike me as a ball winner/tackler. I think Kelvin will do this job for him and Mellis and allow them to play. I also think Kel's short range use of the ball was great, back end of last season. Turned defence into attack on many occasion and was a big feature in our good form. :D

Truth is, there isn't really room for Kelv, Perks & Daws anyway. Tough away games maybe, at the expense of a bit of flair. Add Digby to that, but how often are they all likely to be fit at the same time?

I think it gives us fantastic choices in the middle, steer us through injuries and offer rotation options for the busy midweek match parts of the season. It's all good. And if JB comes back, even better. I would also be training Tompole up as an out n out striker. :D

Kennedy doesn't even make the squad? Interesting. Personally, would start with TK over Bobby, and drop McNulty from the bench
