You have no idea how much they'd be willing to pay for him, but neither do I. I doubt with our new board in place they're just going to roll over and accept the first £500,000 bid that comes in.

No player is irreplaceable, they come and go every season and we still survive and exist.

 

500K BID? He'll be playing for Rochdale this time next year after a spell in Scotland

 

I think we would struggle to get any player with his ability on a free. And judging by all the wage structures I heard about I can't imagine him to be on a great deal of money. So yes I think he would be hard to replace

Be gutted if he leaves. Most technically talented player we've got. Needs to be played centrally or at a push on the right though. He is lost, and wasted on the left. I reckon he is good enough to shine in this division when played in a central 3, not sure where he fits in on a midfield 4 though.

 

Clever lad. We only paid 250k for him a few weeks ago. How can you say he would replace him? How many times have you seen Jennings play?

 

Oh yeah I'm talking short term though, you may have a point about the new board but with a year on his contract and the fact he'd be keen to go to the premiership i couldn't see us getting more than a million and I can't think of many with that much creativity available for that sort of money that would come to us. I am not saying we'd crumble if he left I'm saying our midfield would be noticeably weaker. Suppose I am a bit biased being a big fan of his, though. Always think we look so much more exciting with him in the team.

 

Must say I agree with this, I don't doubt Jennings has bags of ability and potential but let's no get ahead of himself, he's still never played at as high of a level as championship and I can't help feel he's being built up for a fall.

 

I've said it many times and i'll say it again Mellis is another Butterfield, all the skill in the world but no motor, can't now, and i suspect never will, be able to consistently last 90 minute games.

 

1st full season in 1st team football. I'm sure with flickers hard working mentality and the tough pre season I think we will see a different side to alot of players this season. People are to quick to right players off!

 

Think Flitcrofts hard working mentality might kill him off, you can teach the skills and the tactics, but if the player hasn't the stamina, he won't get as high up as he wants to get.
