    Where's the link to say arrr Maurice is on the pay role?

    All what I have read about him so far is that he has been appointed BFC Chairman

    If a Premiership club is asking for advice from a guy that is on the board of directors at Barnsley then this just shows how much talent we have at board level.
    It would be good if Maurice could use his talents to get a few foreign players in at Barnsley

    Everyone knew

    Mr Watkins had numerous strings to his professional bow when appointed chairman. Personally, I don't see how participating in his other fields of expertise will undermine his ability to perform his duties as Barnsley chairman. Unless, of course, someone can prove otherwise that his other jobs are having an adverse effect on us.

    Nobody would have a problem with him having six different jobs beside us if it was like landscape gardener, post man etc. It's that it looks shady a guy at one footie club helping a guy at another because it makes him look less committed to the role with a conflict of interest.

    Neither can I. Maurice has our best interests at heart and is part of what's making our club much better. But outsiders like fans of other clubs may wonder what's going off.

    It doesn't look shady. I'm just saying that I find it strange that a man can hold a position of power at one football club and then work for another.

    Or...it just goes to show what a top man PC has been able to deliver as our chairman...and the high regard he must be thought of in football...can only be a good thing for BFC..

    Hes a lawyer for fecks sake. He's been highered to do his day job by another club. He's not helping run their club. So I don't really see any issue here at all

    Let's force him to quit all his other roles. We can then pay him a few million a year in salary for his exclusivity.
