FAO Supertyke

It says he's banned. Can't understand why, unless you get banned for disagreeing with site admin. Can't be for the use of the c word as many others use that word on here and don't get banned. That is one swear word that goes through me, it's awful.

 

I like Supertyke (He's often right which people don't seem to want to admit) but he went a bit far with one of the mods in a thread, and did basically call him a bit of a see you next Tuesday.

Seems like site admin are quite happy to watch posters direct personal abuse and swear at hemsworth-tyke (i have seen loads regarding employment, aspergers syndrome, intimidation/harassment etc) without getting banned/warned, but as soon as a bit of personal abuse is directed towards site admin, then they are banned.

 

Lots of people get called that word on the forum, I know it happens a lot as its a word that stands out to me as it grates on me. I just think there should be consistency, you get called the c word so the offender gets banned. For example, HT was getting verbally abused on a daily basis but no bans. If everyone was banned for swearing at other users there wouldn't be many people left on the site, therefore I think you were wrong to ban ST as its not consistent. It seems to me because you're a member of site admin you've thought I'll ban him just because I can, which is grossly unfair.

The BBS is not a democracy, it's been said a few times, if somebody does something wrong on the site it's the site admin and site owners that get the blame and face the legal ramifications, therefore misbehave and site admins can do what they like, if you don't like that then go build, fund and operate your own site. More power to their elbows I say, as a moderator on another forum I know the crap they have to put up with sometimes and being called a lovely person is NOT what they're here for.

 

He certainly did go a bit far. Some people need to show a bit more RESPECT, in my opinion.

 

Everyone's different but I think Certain comments are worse than others.
I'm not sure about you Calgary but name calling doesn't bother me, i would just smile about that but personal comments like a poster above talked about really not on. What you or I do away from anythings nothing to do someone else. Now the poster who said that to me (aspergers syndrome, intimidation/harassment) really annoyed me and a few other comments of similar things.

 

if some of the rubbish that goes on here went on in the school playground the kids would be called immature and the parents would be accused of bad parenting, unfortunately on here it is the parents

I think anywhere you give a strong opinion and we all do around BFC you will get this.
By the sounds of it what goes off on here's very polite to what goes off in certain international changing rooms now and in the past.

 

Is the ban temporary, like a cyber wrap on the knuckles? I hope so because besides this obvious indiscretion Super Tyke is a pretty good poster (most of the time).
