I've got this picture in my head that it was on 2 floors, where TK MAXX and Primark is, I'm beginning to think I dreamt it

You are correct. However, the shop was branded as "Living" which essentially was Co-ops homeware arm. Had an escalator in the middle of the shop too!

Yes it was, and was on 2 floors. Got some items on our wedding present list there. So it was there in 1995

Is it NOT still the Co-op?!! It was last time I was in there - seriously! They were the anchor tenants when it first opened, for certain.

There was the Living department store, quite a nice shop actually, covered two levels with escalators in the middle...shows the direction Barnsley has gone with it being replaced with Primark and TK Maxx...not sure if Living was owt to do with Co-op though

I still have a pair of PJs I bought in that Co-op. I quite liked that shop.

Was it a mass debate you were having?

It was the coop who built the Alhambra. They paid for it by selling the old buildings(hedonism+market street) to the building company.

They're the two busiest shops in town, and Primark is probably the busiest in Meadowhall. That's the direction they want to go in.

The hours must fly by in your gaff. Tonight - do you prefer brown bread or granary?

Wasn't the Co-op where Chicago Rock is/was? I remember it as a kid, a proper shop.
