This week. I wonder if the manager is playing a patient waiting game with one or two targets? Personally, I'd like to see another centre half & striker signed. But if it means having to wait until the end of the transfer window to get our man at a more reasonable, affordable price, then I can understand & appreciate it.
I suspect lots of ground work has gone into 1 or 2 targets and until we get a straight no or they join other clubs, we are playing a waiting game. Mansford has knowledge of the market and he said things tend to happen quick in the last few days prior to kick off. Hold your nerve!
I think you've summed up the situation well It's me just being childishly giddy over the coming season.
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well that said, I also would expect Mansford to have a keen eye on season ticket sales and as new Chief Exec would like to deliver the marquee signing that would put a few more bums on seats prior to kick off, be nice if it happened this week.
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well The usual domino effect once players start moving from a higher price bracket. We can kick off with what we have and then see what else might be required, makes sense to hold some funds in reserve.
A marquee signing would be Something from left field as far as I'm aware. Although, last week's Andy Johnson rumour would certainly fall into that category were he to come and he'd definitely fit David Flitcroft's DNA.
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well I agree with you. Good grief! I'd better mark it on the calendar!
Re: A marquee signing would be Hull City seem to be making inroads with there transfers, maybe a sneaky little bid for Fryatt on loan with a view to sign would be a decent signing.
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well We agree on a lot more than you think! It's on the rare occasion that we don't that your universe seems to be thrown off kilter!!
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well Oh aye(!) I'm always mincing about, throwing Elton John-esque hissy fits when I can't get my way and won't admit there's a possibility I could be wrong! Actually, come to think of it, that sums me up perfectly!
Re: I think you've summed up the situation well You're having one now!! You don't even want to know how that sounded in my head!!
