I am totally blown away. As many have said, this is one of the most exciting pre-seasons in a long time. I hope it does not fail. I am sure its going to be good. Still think we have a very hard opening month mind. But looking around at our local rivals I think we are in better shape than all of them. That's in every department on and off the field too.

I don't see how it can fail. The momentum, the squad, the focus, the unity, the structure, the fans, everything, has built on what we achieved in 2013. One more striker in the bag and we're fcukin ready to rock

... and yet we are Barnsley I just still have a nagging worry that it could all go horribly wrong.

Dont get me wrong I am really looking forwards to the season and actually do expect us to be decent and comfortably mid table but I wont be shocked ( just disappointed) if we are still around the bottom 3 at Christmas

I completely understand where you are coming from....

its a case of " Is this really us" syndrome. Will we all suddenly awake from a dream...or is it all real ???

Let's reign it in a bit.

It's a new season, we've new players that will take time to bed in and there isn't a guarantee we'll pick up where we left off last term.

I agree it's the most exciting time for many a year, but let's not be over expectant.

I can see how it will fail. A few bad results or mistakes that cost us and there's a host of fickle fans on here who will jump on the players backs lickety split! They'll get booed off at half time every week and slated and abused on here for good measure. I really hope this doesn't happen and things go well but I fear the worst should results go against us.

Remember Blackburn at home? Wiseman got booed. Hopefully a thing of the past this season.
