Went to see the boss last night. Got to say really impressed with the venue, great sound and everything really well organised. Looking forward to seeing some other stuff there in future, certainly a lot better than MEN or Sheffield.

Seriously!? I think it's location is dreadful (cant even see it unless you're stood right under it) the actual arena floor/area is tiny in comparison to Sheffield I think it looks more like a theatre than an arena. My opinion obviously

Yes, that's why it's better for concerts, closer to the stage and better acoustics.

But is their a standing area during concerts ? When I went in the other week it's had the theatre style seating wrapping around top then on the floor it has retractable seats but I thought if they're left in so you can have a standing area they would have trouble with people trying to climb them

I just think its poor in comparison to wembley or Sheffield or Birmingham/men looks as though its just been squeezed into the only available land

From what I've seen it looks good, well banked up and even the top seats look to be fairly close, reckon it's a good view wherever you are. My only issue is the location in north Leeds....but there is plenty of parking around the city and, having worked in the Halifaz building just past it, I know it's reasonable walking distance from the train station

Yes we were standing last night.

I think they close off the roads to allow people to get away but obviously it's not the best spot if you're driving in. Good for the bars and restaurants around town though.

Agree great venue. We were in the 2nd tier great view but its a lot further away than the photos make it look. The standing area looked a lot bigger as well I think they can extend the seating up to the 1st tier if its an all seated event. I prefer a venue in the city centre better public transport links and options for pre concert drinks /eating. My sister went to Cardiff as well as Leeds and she thought the Leeds show was the better of the two, only because Springsteen did Secret Garden.hes a phenomenal performer . Think Sheffield Arena might have a problem in the future attracting the big bands with this venue in the same area

It's the north part of the city! As opposed to the south part of the city which would be easier to access from the motorway network.

Went to see him at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff on Tuesday. He came on at 7:45 and went off at 11:35 pm absolutely fantastic. He did a duet with Eric Burdon of "We gotta get out of the place" which went down a storm. Any special guests up in Leeds?

No special guests and to be honest as a neutral it sounded a better set list to me than Leeds but I'm not a die hard ,I just live with one and my sisters another ,so I can't get teary eyed that he did a song he hasn't done for 20yrs. having said that I nearly got teary eyed when Saxon did Dallas 1pm at Leeds Academy the other month.

Re: Leeds Arena last night was fantastic

Brilliant show, brilliant arena, brilliant crowd, went to both Cardiff and Leeds, Cardiff was the better show, just, also a lot longer,: of the 4 shows i have seen in the last month Leeds, at 3 hours and 4 mins was the shorest, he was a bit knackered after 3 1/2 hours at cardiff I guess but over the 4 shows i have seen he has done 70 diferent songs, beat that any other artist......I got a ticket from the box office yesterday after queing up over 6 hours and the venue telling us all the time there was no chance of tickets going on sale, at 4pm when the tickets were dropped there were 20 of us waiting, by 4:20 there were at least 100 at the box office so they must have dropped quite a few, I went without a ticket but wasnt prepared to pay the 350 the touts were wanting, was in the front pit and it was really close, stood at the back of the pit, we were next to the walkway and had loads of room to bop about, the sound is fantastic, best sound I have ever heard at a Boss gig but then it is a state of the art arena, far better than MEN, Sheffield etc, only 13k capacity but all seats are fairly close to the stage but i wouldnt like to be on the upper tier, highlight of last nigh, Bruce crowd surfing during Hungry heart, as for the location, ok wrong part of city centre fotr the motorways but only a 10 min max walk to the railway station so park near there, guarantees a quick get away.....
