    decent goal.
we played some good stuff. I think Cofie could be interesting ...... could be a genius one minute then infuriating the next. Wellbeck clone ?
I liked Jennings. Not seen quicker feet since David Currie.

Were we getting it forward sharpish from the back or was it more tippy tappy it being a friendly like and did we create many chances.

There was a bit of tippy tappy from both sides, both looked comfortable footballing teams, but I would guess that we tried to get it forward with a bit more urgency than I expected. When we moved it quick and attacked them I thought we looked really good. As others have said, Bordeaux looked a quality side, but we gave as good as we got. If we'd have equalised shortly after Toms goal (headed just wide) then I think we might have nicked it. As it was, they scored an outstanding breakaway - great quick break and stunning shot (the type that goes 20 rows back when we try do it) :)

Agree with most of that, Andy, apart from us giving as good as we got. But I only watched the last 10 minutes of the first half and all the second half on a live stream.

Without sounding too negative, I thought Bordeaux played us off the park with their movement and crisp, accurate passing for a lot of the game that I saw.

fair enough, should have said "we tried to give as good as we got" ......... over the last couple of seasons we'd have capitulated against that, and although they were probably only in third gear, we at least tried to man-up. If anything, I would hope our guys learnt a bit from that. Pleasant match from a pre-season point of view and at least it was good to see most players get a run-out
