10th March 2012 - 22,240 fans watching their team at the state-of-the-art Ricoh Arena. 2nd August 2013 - 210 season tickets sold for Sixfields Stadium, liquidation How sad is that.
This is very sad news, always thought Coventry was a proper club and they were one of my favourite teams in the 90s. I'm sure they'll be reborn and will be back in the Football League within a few years.
Well they'll still start the football leage against Crawley tomorrow. All they'll recieve is a 15 point deduction at start of season.
This is really sad news, as usual its the fans left to pick up the pieces. Money has completely ripped the heart and soul out of football.
Your thinking of administration not liquidation? They were already in admin. Liquidation i believe spells the end for them?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23548760 This is what it says on BBC website. I also thought liquidation meant curtains.
Must admit I hadn't read the article until just now. They haven't actually gone into liquidation then.
Sad day sat opposite a lad at work who's been watching them for 40 years. If there's any justice then they should take over MK Dons, rename it and call themselves the Sky Blues.
Re: Sad day only "part" of the business that owns coventry is getting liquidated, so the football club will get away with it. stinks.
Re: Sad day http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement1-020813-962428.aspx http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/administrator-statement-020813-962908.aspx It can't be right that a club can go into liquidation but it's basically just administration because it would be a points deduction and the club allowed to play on at league one level.
terrible news I hope SKY are pleased its all down to them bastads IMHO. But on a more mercenary note, any good players to be had from this.
