Completely caused by that unfit, idiot of an official. Two minutes earlier, a carbon copy challenge was put in on Jennings only he stayed on his feet. If that had been flagged up, It wouldn't have happened. Bad officiating and killed the game. We still would have lost but it wouldn't have been 0-4. The life was sapped from us after that. No disgrace in defeat today. We lost to a far better team and now need to focus on bouncing back.
Good assessment in as much as we were just about putting in a respectable performance against a very good team with 11 and we would always find it very difficult with 10. As to Jennings I felt he bottled the previous challenge to be honest, it was 50/50, he tried to make up for it but went over the ball which is always a risk even if he didn't really get their player.
I agree he didn't really get the player but in today's game that kind of challenge will get you sent off.
So if he bottled the first challenge what did he do for the second? Un bottle it? He had to go for it and it looked worse than it was... compounded by the play acting fron the Wigan player.
Watson should have gone, McManaman went in two footed a few times, Boyce and Barrett got away with everything.
Not sure you saw the tackle if you can argue it wasn't a red. It definitely was, take off them blinkers.
