There are more bulbs in my shed than there are in the BFC scoreboard. Might as well just turn it off completely because it has become an embarrassment.

TV's around the ground all turned off. Nice one. That little 'on' button must be hard to press. I noticed the one in the players section of the corner stand was on though.

Lindleys. Nice improvements. I've never seen such a posh eating establishment. Oh sorry, my mistake. False promises once more. First game of the season, everyone expected a bumper crowd and the bar had TWO people serving using ONE hand pump meaning there were queues for around 20-25 minutes before kick off. A grand total of five pies in the pie warmer too. I suppose with 13,000 people there they might end up with some wastage if they take a risk and buy a full box or something crazy like that. Where were these supposed improvements? Peeling paper on the menu boards, dull orange coca cola signs, empty fridges, dirty worksurfaces. Seen more professional catering in a shipping container on the stocksbridge bypass.

Same old choice of music on the PA system but with the volume cranked up to 'audible in china'. Does nobody at all check the volume levels before turning them up? Its **** that you can't speak to someone stood next to you because the music is too loud at a football match.

Toby Tyke in last years kit. sorry but that is simply not acceptable for a championship club.

I'm not even going to comment on that cringeworthy and totally wasted speech from Flitcroft that was played at random before kick off.

All in all I was very surprised to see that despite a new regime there seemed to be absolutely no improvement at all to the matchday experience and in many areas it had actually got worse. I hope things change before the next game

The only change was there was less staff serving than there was last season. Oh and less bottles in the fridges too. Looked like they hadn't bothered to stock up after the friendlies to be honest.

What I've never understood about Lindleys is for at least the last five years there are no meat and potato pies left within two minutes of half time...what kind of half-wit runs that operation? Not everyone is going to buy something else you know...the problem for them is then compounded by the fact that people don't bother queuing anymore.

it would certainly appear that lindley's have failed to meet any of the promises they made. we don't know what's going on behind the scenes though. for all we know, mansford may be negotiating with a different supplier as we speak

Funny you should mention this...I went through turnstiles in Ponty End about 1.45pm and the betting kiosk and the catering bars had the shutters down and the TVs weren't switched on. Same old drab breeze block walls with the odd poster about an event that happened 6 months ago.

Made me think about the hope that supporters would start and finish their day at Oakwell - long way to go until this happens.

Yeah I have to say, although I don't want to criticise after only one game, the match-day experience has not changed one bit despite promises. Work to be done in all areas. I hadn't noticed Toby's kit tbf but yeah that's a bit poor isn't it.

Mansford probably had a few ideas but the white knight vetoed them.

On a positive note well done to the club for painting the floor of the Ponty end bogs and putting in new soap dispensers.

Totally agree with these comments, especially the one about the volume of the music. One of my pleasures at a game is to talk to the people around me. Impossible on Saturday for long periods. It was up so loud as to be painful. FFS, that's ok for scaring birds off airports, but not for blasting already-deaf old gits out of Row R of the East Stand Lower.

The ESL gents are in desperate need of new hand-dryers. I honestly may as well just blow on them

They didn't bother to stock up FOR the friendlies.. sold out of beer in east stand by the start of half time in the Brugges game..

For me there needs to be a point where this talk of a new regime isn't just talk, getting very worried we've been duped this summer.

Long way to go Mr Manford!!!

Day a Rome built wasn't in. Please re-arrange those six words and be patient.

A scoreboard can be built in a summer, though.

Scoreboard now just a pointless bit of space between two advertising boards - they might as well give Woody's a bigger sign. So completely illegible that I agree, they should just get rid, or at least turn it off to save a few pennies. No-one would care if we didn't have a scoreboard, but they don't half rip the piss over the one we've got!! Complete and utter embarassment.

Flitcroft talked about treating the squad like Championship players, and by all accounts no expense has been spared in sorting that out over the last couple of months. I noticed even in the tunnel and outside the dressing room they've redecorated the walls with giant - up to date - imagery of last season etc.
Well what about the Championship supporters? The KEY component of the club. And as SuperTyke has already put, there have been zero improvements, if owt, they've got worse. Not only that, we get dicked 4-0.
They asked for 10,000 ST holders, and we aren't far off that amount. There were at least 2,000 paying on the day.
What a ******* let down Saturday was.
Get your finger out, Mansford. You can't blame Don for not turning a TV or two on.
