Why is he suspended? I've seen why now & I hope his father fines him 2 weeks wages as well. He'll learn to keep his mouth shut one day.
It's a benefit no doubt about that, but I think Chopra will be really fired up for this one and Matty Phillips is a handful on his day.
Apparently he's out injured for a couple of weeks anyway, according to a Blackpool fan. He picked up a groin strain when taking a corner on Monday, wasn't subbed off though.
Now then £8mill worth of talent there, £3mill out with a broken arm. Helpful considering our defense is already at the "Hassell could get a game here" injury stage Flicker: "I've asked the players to be a bit quicker around the box and to get snappier shots off" Its been a good days work all round, we could be onto something here.
Re: Now then I've been keeping an eye on Blackpool since last saturday. I watched their cup match against Preston and have been on their forums a bit and they're in trouble. They've only got one fit winger available for Saturday (Grant) since both Ince and Caton are injured. Basham played on the wing against Preston but he's a CM/CB and was slated by their fans after the game. They don't have recognised RB and Broadfoot (CB) is filling in. Their best central midfielder (Angel Martinez) is struggling with a knock which leaves them with next to no creativity in the middle. Chopra isn't fully fit yet either. This is certainly the best time to play them. Their squad is threadbare.
Re: Now then If flickers not thinking set plays with good delivery will get us a goal or two then he needs his head testing. Hardly a dominent defence physically... Mvoto...mvoto...
All summer I've thought Blackpool are a train crash waiting to happen. After playing an absolute blinder to ascend up the leagues, the lack of investment and apparent apathy towards their fall from grace from their board is bewildering. I don't rate Paul Ince and personally I think him being there is only going to be negative with reagrd to his son. At Preston Daddy Ince screamed at Tom Ince and the home fans started cheering and laughing... it shouldn't matter but you could tell it was an unhealthy situation. Big chance for us on Saturday, luck seems to be on our side with regard to their troubles, just hope we put in a better performance and really take advantage. There'll be many more difficult games than this one.
I'm surprised they haven't strengthened more. They should be one of the richer clubs in the division because they haven't spent a lot of money over the last few years, even when they made it to the premier league. There should still be a few million left over from their promotion and subsequent parachute payments.
We're being watched... http://www.backhenrystreet.co.uk/thread-12806.html I remember there being a particularly humourous thread on that site a regarding the massiveness of Sheffield Wednesday. Might try and dig it out.
