Below are some examples of the work created by the kids today at the Children's art project at BFC.

There are still plenty of spaces left over the next week so of you'd like your kids to get involved, please contact contact Steve or Laurie on juniors@bfcst.org.uk

Personally I think it's a great project and a great opportunity for kids.

If the kids are doing this sort of stuff every week then these are the things that should be fixed up around the concourses with the name of artists and ages.

EDIT: Ive just read the article on the main website and they are putting them up around the stadium.

    Great Stuff!

An uncannily familiar sounding project, I wonder why that is?

Haha, nope I teach 8 year olds, I was wondering if I should be expecting a lot more out of them! (Art has never been my strong point!)

Looks brilliant. This is the kind of thing that fans should be suggesting to the club though. It disappoints me that there are talented people like Mr C who could have suggested something like this to the club but instead they're selfish and sit in london counting their thousands from selling the odd sketch or two.

Have you approached Mansford regarding your offer? I guess it kind of went by the wayside when Rowing left?

Not seeing any of Bobby Hassell there, not even in the background.

Don't worry everyone, no need to panic, there is one of Bobby Hassell, about 1 minute in (woman wearing pink top)

Great idea to get Pippins Designs to create line drawings so young fans/kids from the local community can colour them in. I like the style of them too, be great to see them in the concourses.

Well spotted. How the chuff did you see that one?

Agreed that it's a great idea. Should be extended to happen during games too. Kids who aren't particularly interested in the match could have a table set up in the stadium somewhere and colour new paintings in while the game is playing.

    Not sure to be honest!

The next project should involve a really lanky kid with another kid on his shoulders, changing the bulbs on the scoreboard.

Okay, the recent mural painting project is one of several ideas I formerly proposed to the club back in February. They had taken an interest in me after Gally showed them the print of the Oakwell painting I made. I gave them some prints, including a framed one which they raffled in the exec lounge and probably made themselves more money than I did on the whole project.

There were informal chats prior to submitting the document, where I agreed to do everything for free, possibly in return for a season ticket and materials budget. Any commercial ideas such as the Oakwell print, would be a regular split of retail profits.

Some people on here have seen the basic proposal document, which had been requested by the club, but not replied to other than an acknowledgement of receipt. The only difference between the project I suggested and this one, is that I proposed to make paintings of BFC legends rather than something that will look dated this time next season. I also envisaged less generic looking images.

There you go. Make of that what you will, whether you think that's how the club should treat supporters who offer to help. I think it's great that things are being done, but I have withdrawn any offer of help whether outreach or commercial. I certainly have more than enough to be getting on with and I've discovered that BFC are definitely not the kind of people I can work with. Which is a blessing really.

If that is what they have done (and i don't doubt you for a second because I remember you on about it weeks ago) then thats pathetic and they ought to be taken to task about it.

    BFC - please explain yaselves!
