These strikers better be bloody good if they're going to generate service for themselves as well

Which Mellis though? The Mellis who looks to be interested (the one I've seen about 5 times so far) or the one who looks like he would rather be tied to a table having biglil kicking him in the balls than on a football pitch having to do things like run and tackle?

Playing mellis out of position is the fault here, he has shown he links up well with ogrady when played in his best position, something that will never happen out on the wing unfortunately....

Maybe not but he doesn't put a shift in on the wing - he might not want to play out there but I bet his contract doesn't state he's a central midfielder.

If asked to play left back, central midfield or goalkeeper it shouldn't make a difference to the effort level. In his case it does.

Carrying Mellis is not the Answer isn't consistent enough for me Better playing Scotland in Hole for 60Mins an then bringing Mellis on for last 30Mins when the opposition are tiring ! He is a lot Hungrier when he comes on than when he starts. .

If playing a 3 stone overweight Scotland in the hole is the answer, then that hole wants ******* filling in.
Seriously we took him on and he didn't get fit, we've now had a pre season with him and he looks even more unfit!

Depends what you mean by put a shift in. If you mean running a running all day without creating owt then Mellis ain't your kind of player. But without the extra quality he has we won't do much

The team was set up to accommodate him against a poor Scnuthorpe side yet he showed nothing. Talented player but needs to pull his finger out. Hopefully Flicker dropping him today well give him the kick up the backside he needs.

I think it's an insult to our players like mellis, cywka and Jennings to say Scotland should play in the hole. If mellis has a run off games in the hole and it's not working then put one off the other attacking midfielders in there! Don't just play him in the hole 1 game on the wing the next game an then wen he plays rubbish then drop him to the bench... How many players could be consistent when there in a different position each week? See people talking about mellis Not lasting full 90 but I can't remember Scotland lasting more than 65 but there happy with that? Lol

Until he has a few poor games and people get on his back saying he's a waste off money. Doesn't work hard. Doesnt do this or that! You can't win with certain fans! I think people forget who we are and the way the clubs run at the minute we will never be any different! Fighting for our championship status year after year

Your right about Bottling the Appeal but to the Fa Little old Barnsley won't even get a look in the Fa wouldn't even be Arsed to Look at it so they were probably saving there time an Breath and just living with it !

Might help Jennings with a extra couple of Weeks Workin on his Fitness .

If the club and the player felt it wasn't a red they would appeal but they didnt..
