Next week Vs Charlton is, quite simply, a must win game

for the confidence of everyone, and that's my opinion.... so there.

Yeah, I was looking at the fixtures earlier and although "must win" could be perceived as a bit melodramatic at this stage of the season I'm inclined to agree with you re: confidence, setting the tone, etc. It's certainly a huge game if we're to look to be competitive this season.

If we don't win, I can see me wearing a serious frown on Saturday night and a good part of Sunday...

and before you start. We went through on penalties against Scunny, we could not beat then in normal time or even score against them. I find this a bit worrying. Add to that we have conceded 5 league goals in just two league games. Sorry Tom but even this early that's a bit worrying.

The lack of shots/goals is a concern but it's not must win in the context of staying in the league. We got 1pt from first 6 games a few years back and stayed up. We desperately need a win though, for all concerned, agree with that.

 

Its a "must win game" in the fact that we don't want to be getting cut adrift down at the bottom this early on in the season, sets the tone for the rest of the season. All the hard work of last season down the pan and no progress made.

The performance and attitude of the players will be more interesting to analyze rather than the result at this stage imo

begins from, you are so obviously a very young person. One who has no idea of motivational technique. Let me spell it out as simply as possible as one of your pre-school teachers are trying to do with you right now. We have started the competitive season, we have scored NO goals, we have not won a game yet. We have conceded 5 goals. But before your simple mind tells me we beat Scunny, I will tell we DID NOT. we got through on the lottery that is a shoot out... and looking at that what a fiasco that was too. We were not that clinical in that . Sorry little man we are not in a good position competitionally wise. We have played 3 yes THREE competitive games , failed to score in all 3. we have a minus 5 goal difference and are rock bottom. Then you say its all OK.... go to a spiritualist fella... its far from ok

Sick of certain condescending posters failing to admit these 3 games (and for me pre season) have been a cause for concern. I don't care how early in the season it is we need a boost and a third league loss in a row will seriously shatter the confidence of the dressing room.

I take it not being happy with 3 dire performances in a row makes me "not a real supporter"?
