Donny Rovers v Leek Town featuring Steve Nicol in the Conference. Think it was Boxing Day 1999 or 2000. It was at the old Belle Vue and we had to walk across the pitch to get out. I went to the Leadmill later that evening.

Chesterfield v port vale season they went up.

It was the around the time port vale were being considered/brought by an Asian consortium.

Chesterfield won 2 nil and played them off the park but that wasn't the highlight.

    The away end was.

Some bird who was as rough as they come had pram wi bairn in plus rest of her family.

Soon as chesterfield scored second a huge banner rolled out saying keep port vale white and the away end just imploded.

Famagusta - Fenerbache (spellings) in a champs league qualifier.

Famagusta won 3-1 in Turkey but and went through at home.

But what an atmosphere and schemes of celebration I have never seen before on the streets of Ayia Napa after the game.

Also went to see Ajax v Groningen (i think against them), Ajax won 7-0 with Suarez scoring nearly all of them.

Hull vs Donny 2 years ago.

My housemate at Uni was a Hull fan and he managed to get tickets for £2 so thought why not.

Cold Tuesday night for a 0-0 draw and a shi.te game.

    1. Frickley Colliery v Grantham Town around 1970.
    2. Harleston Town v King's Lynn Town around 2000 at Carrow Road.
    3. South Elmsall u-15s v York u-15 school boys at Frickley with Peter Knowles playing for South Elmsall.
    4. Doncaster Rovers reserves v Barnsley reserves around 1969 with Donny winning 3-2 and Ian Pearson scoring both our goals with less than 50 in the ground. Good player, Pearson, but never appeared in our first team and was allowed to leave, later to play for Millwall and Exeter City, with both of whom he played some games. I think he was part-time, as he also went on to become a PE teacher. (sorry - this one did involve Reds)

From what I remember it was a tidy ground, with a real non-league feel to it. I managed to see a lot of strange games when I lived north of the border. Another mate followed Aberdeen so we'd travel up to see some European games on Tuesday night's. I've seen the Dons play Barry Town and Skonto Riga.

York City v Lincoln City and Hull City v York City back in the mid 80's. If I remember correctly both games were in the old division four and the season before York won the title with 100+ points so just after the leagues went from two to three points for a win. An old mate was a big York fan so went with him.

Stranraer v Albion Rovers 1977/78 season Stranraer lost 3-5 . The ground made Worsbro` Bridge ground look like Wembley!! It has improved a bit since then, but it was just a pitch in the middle of a park !!
Been back a few times since then, but I still remember that first match.

Ha ha brilliant lads, hard to pick a winner but Harleston Town v King's Lynn Town or PSG vs Cameroon on a blinking stagg doo takes some beating

It's coz I was there, got the DVD and signed photos, it was so emotional to see those fellas back playing football and running around again, the stag doo in Whitley Bay night before would have finished off a lesser pub team

    Exeter v Mansfield late 70's

On holiday, needed a footy fix

Approx 20 mansfield fans stood on an open end, p1ssed it down all game, they sang all the way through despite being hammered. Ahhh the good old days

Spurs v Leeds in about 1990, the game where Chapman smashes his face on the asphalt round the pitch, 0-0.

Liverpool v Stoke in about 1993, League Cup I think, 1-0.
