According to Matt Murray. I wonder what the hold up is? It must be frustrating for Flicker too.

We are waiting for the Dominoes to arrive, apparently. Something about being lower down the food chain. They must have slower bikes or summat.

Very frustrating indeed but it's only early days so no pnaic. I'd rather wait and get the right player in.

Maybe the right player isn't available. When do the Premier League teams name their squads? Is it the end of August? We'll probably be more active by then.

Mine too. We can't persist with Dagnall. We've gave him 18 months to at least score semi regularly and he's not upto it. Last 12 months of his contract though :) Yes he tries really hard for the team but it's not enough.

    Spot on, Lee.
And trust me, there are a couple of 'right' players on his radar. If we pull either one off (oo er) this forum will be in dreamland.
Patience. We need it on all fronts.

I haven't seen Mansford/Flicker's transfer target list, but can confirm what you said through common sense.

We offered a contract to Michael Higdon, Michael Chopra was on his way for a medical, Loan enquiry for Billy Sharp etc.

    Flicker:
    "plug in and play"
"not going to rush things, waiting for the right player"
"Premier League clubs, putting squads together, domino effect"
"definitely looking at bringing in one striker, maybe two"

I just get the feeling that he is looking at bringing in a quality striker, a 'right' player, maybe one with experience and a half decent goalscoring record. Could be wrong like.

My version of events - struggling to attract the players on the wanted list. I'm confident the Club are doing everything they can, but we're still little old Barnsley, we're still at the bottom of the League and we're still widely considered as relegation candidates. When this so called player flurry does happen, I'm sure the more sought after strikers will always have at least one 'better' option than Barnsley

Exactly, the delay/patience, to me, suggests we aren't after Joey Sudacrem from Dover Athletic, who hasn't scored a goal in 14 years, and only eats cheese. Joey would have signed by now.

I think we might be after someone decent here.

I was down in London yesterday and last night in a pub it was reported on SSN that the Reds will be confirming the signing of a centre forward today
