Thought the team played well today and controlled the majority of the game. Ultimate feeling was massive deflation but onwards and upwards.

The two above mentioned players have had enough time and for me just dont cut the mustard enough to be starting championship games regularly. Dagnall is about as sharp as a playdo knife and Kennedy is about as steady as quicksand.

Also as ive got the knives out, see above, i thought we looked better when Etuhu came on, perkins and dawson in a midfield three isnt ideal.

On a bright note COGBA is the best striker ive seen at Oakwell for a long long time. Beast.

After seeing the title to this thread, I thought they were going to be singled out for praise. Both played well today.

Dagnall was a lot better today than against Blackpool. He had a big hand in our first goal did he not?

I think you're right from a broader point of view though. Nyatanga could come in for Kennedy once fit and it's been well documented that we're after a new striker.

Dagnall is 100% most games except at Blackpool where he had a bad game , but do we keep him in the team for his effort and running or look for another striker who can score on a consistent basis

Not sure what you describe as well but missing chances and poor defending dont really go down as well in my book. Dagnall offers workrate which is great but in front of goal you just cant be confident watching him. Kennedy has a lot of poor positioning and his distribution as almost as hit and miss as big Jeans.

Back three of Wiseman Mvoto and Crainie would sort that issue.

Jennings to replace Daggers or a purchased striker.

Must have been watching a different game. Numerous accurate balls into O'Grady, don't know how you can have missed them all. Rarely gave it away, even when under pressure.

Yeah O'Gradys touch made his balls look a lot better than they were, i did state hit and miss which means he played some good some bad so turns out i didnt miss them all.

He just stood his ground and held the defender off. Didn't even have to move. I don't think he made the passes look any better.

I'm not Kennedy's biggest fan but I thought he had one of his better games today (could even make my top 3 for MOM). He looked composed and his distribution as far as I could see was very good. His lack of height and positional awareness are his weak points imo.

So you've singled out two of our better players today for criticism. Well done.

It's the job of forwards to score goals Dagnall for all his qualities doesn't it's as simple as that really. Kennedy I'm presuming is in the team due to injuries. Both have roles to play as squad players rather than first choice.
