For the pro-Dawson lobby..

    ... the guy is not good enough. He runs a lot and when he has the ball he runs with that too. He does work hard and he wants to do well for the team, it's obvious as much. However, his running around skills do not compensate for his lack of technical ability or his awarenes of the game. His sole foot is his is right, which for a supposedly mobile midfielder is not good enough. He is too slow, too right-footed, too unaware of options. I think most people like him because he tries hard. Trying hard is not quite enough at this level. My opinion of course.

    Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me. Up until reading your post I was under the illusion that he was a decent player. I feel like such a fool now.

    Was only a few months ago when people were saying we was down cos we lost Dawson during run in. He puts a shift in and does a lot of the donkey work in midfield , to allow others to play

    Dawson was player of the year last season with London Tykes. In fact he'd won it by Xmas, without hardly playing since New Year. Based on the same ultra democratic system that I run the BBS award. The stats don't lie. :D

    His final ball and decision making has been shocking so far this season but as somebody else has said when he was out last year the majority of us thought we were down and wouldn't cope without him.
