I read before the match that they would be on sale at the bottom of Oakwell Lane, and also at the bottom of Grove Street. I checked both locations at about 2:15, but no fanzine sellers to be seen. I would be happy to buy, if only I could track the ******* down.
We wanted to be on Oakwell Lane mate but one of lads who was selling pulled out. I was stood on Grove Street, next to the school, from about 2pm until twenty to. Sorry you missed me.
It's ok I realise its new and you can,t please everybody plus I suppose you have to work out supply and demand,I wasn't,t trying to be funny.
Probably not mate, we've got very few left. We'll make a decision on if to reprint it or try and get some more out there in another format. Will let you know. Cheers mate.
BFC Dave kept me in the pub and by time I got to the ground they must have all gone. One massive point though. You've got it spot on Liam. Better to have some disappointed people because they sold out rather than being left with tons of unsold stock meaning it all falls apart after one edition. You should all be proper proud of yerselves. Keep up the good work mate and I'll endeavour (copyright of Keith) to make sure I get the second edition. And meet you.
I got mine through the subscription service. Think it was Wednesday when I typed West Stand Bogs into google>shop>subscription>paypall details. Done. It arrived through the door Friday morning, 1st Class, free car sticker and 'You Reds' envelope stamp (nice touches!). But since Dyson didn't personally break into my house and chuck the fanzine at my face, it meant I had to walk to the front door to collect it, a right fcking ball ache. Well worth the money, £10 to Barnsley Hospice/Charity. Made me laugh (Battle rap, Maurice Watkins timesaving template, Cranies world of toast, ha ha), interesting articles too, particularly enjoyed Fitzy Tykes one on Margret Thatcher. Passionate about Barnsley FC, multidimensional, and enterprising. Keep it up Dyson et al.
I bought one in old number 7, then bought 7 pound of red potatoes, gave that 7 pound of potatoes to mi mate in Ashfield.Just realised i aint got it no more,Guess where it is?
Proud to have been included in it, proud of the hundreds of folk who bought it, but prouder of Dyson, Cunning Stunt and the lads for what was sheer graft today in getting it out there and available. Felt reight proud especially, when ordering me and bossman a pint and seeing WSB there on display, like a proper fanzine. Which it ******* is. Full Ponty? Genius. But warped. Which I like. Not one article in there apart from mine wasn't worth reading. I was genuinely gutted when I got to the last page. There's nobody but charity profiting from this, so I can once again only implore everyone to buy it/keep buying it and really push it onwards. Another thing - just shows what a group of reds fans can do when they want to. I think the club (Ben/Maurice/Stokesy etc) should be tapping into it. Well done to one and all. You Reds.
I meant the club should be tapping into the talents of our fanbase. Not in terms of the fanzine, but in terms of the ideas and proactivity they offer, for free. I reckon that were we (a group of us) in charge of the catering etc, it would be ten times better. In fact, I reckon that if I turned up with a cooler full of about 50 cans of Stella for £3 each, and a load of Percy Turners I'd get better feedback than Lindley's.
Cracking. It's a movement already. The synergy and linkage is in effect. FOR EVERYTHING A REASON. Went through Durkar last week. That's it. My story endeth there.
