Why is it that whenever anyone has an opinion on here...

.... they can't express it without being insulted to some degree? Why do some people resort to slagging off? Is it because they can't think of a reasoned response (i.e. they are thick as pig----) or is it that they just enjoy slagging? I was recently called a muppet for expressing a view and although I may resemble miss piggy I think I am worthy of more than that.

 

One must use one's skills in wit and repartee to respond to such abuse my dear boy...

Yes, Oscar certainly knew how to turn a phrase. A couple of my favourites: "I can resist everything...except temptation..." and "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars..."

That's simply not true, I see loads of posts on here that don't attract undue criticism. There are some posts that do get attacked but they tend to be from those who constantly moan and criticise or who post personal insults against players and I'm not just referring to Hemmsy. There are a few posters who do seem incapable of holding a conversation without resorting to expletives and insults but I find them to be in the minority on here, generally I think this board has some very good members.

 

What about those who moan and criticise but don't tend to resort to expletives and insults?
