Re: The Jim Fryatt I know of

    In brief:
Fryatt was left out of the squad and didn't travel to Chelsea
Bruce says he's going to have to upset players now he's strengthened the squad
Signing Graham and Sagbo have pushed him down the pecking order
Bruce says there's no reason why he won't play a part this season
Fryatt wants to fight for his place
He's been suffering with an achilles problem and isn't fully fit
Bruce wants to assess him once he's fit but that could change if the right offer comes in.
He admits he may have to sell before he can buy.

I will say one thing. Whoever this striker is, he's gonna have score a $hit load, to offset the amount we're conceding

I don't think we're defending too badly, Wigan aside. Blackpool's and Charlton's first were very unlucky.

7 goals in 3 games lets hope we don't start defending badly...

It's more costly lapses causing us to lose goals and points. Very basic errors causing us to lose points and games amidst some competent defending. Concentration seems to be the main issue.

He missed virtually all of last season with injury, so that's obvioulsy a concern. He also failed to settle in East Yorks, selling his house in Bransburton and moving back to the Midlands, so he has a long commute. I'm not convinced he will end up at ours, as I think he fancies a club closer to his home (In Staffordshire I think).

    Good player though.

I said aside from Wigan, which gives 3 goals in 3 games.

In fact if we disregard every game we ever lose I confidently predict success...

I think generally the defence looks better though there seems zero improvement on defending corners and maintaining concentration. I would expect this to improve when we have our first choice defence fit.

    Would be a quality signing.

Always seems to score against us whilst at Hull and a very confident goalscorer.

Aside from the games we conceded in last season, we kept clean sheets in every game. What a defence.

His goal scoring record is pretty decent but he didn't play at all last season and that is obviously of concern, especially if it's a long term injury that could linger and linger. We should certainly be interested but I don't like the idea of paying too large a fee for him.
