Tbf I don't mind him and I think he's an OK guy. Absolutely loved him as a player always chance of a goal choose how badly he or the team ad played.

Saw him at Tannadice playing for Barcelona. Missed an open goal which prompted 20,000 to give him it large. " What a waste of money"

Mark Hughes also played and had a stinker. El Tel wiz no a happy bunny that night. LOL

 

It's not very nice for opposition football fans to rib a rival teams player for missing an easy oppertunity or having a stinker I hope you all apologised at the end of the game
Always think of Italia ninety that's when he was at his best in my opinion especially the Cameroon game, tat was a nailbiting cracker as an England fan. Don't know what you thought as a neutral.

 

He was a great striker, although these days I don't see him as a former world-class international footballer, he's just another one towing the party line on the BBC gravy train. No personality at all.

Wha said I was neutral? Sometime I'm not so level minded. England winning the World Cup would be a nightmare for me. Thinking back I possibly cheered everytime he missed and curse everytime he scored. LOL

Ken something mate we've been spoiled over the years with some very notable Euro performances. Glad to say I've witnessed most of them. The kids nowadays just haven't a clue about those nights.
If your interested just take a wee look at United's Euro history and see some of the teams we beat and results we had.

I think nowaday where has it all gone.

Marlon I'm sure your nights v Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup were brilliant. I watched those games on telly and it was your performances and the joyous crowd scenes which first got me interested in following the fortunes of BFC.

 

Allegedly he's another one like Tiger Woods whose "nice guy" image is a bit of a fraud, apparently he's a proper sleaze who came on to all the female guests on "They Think It's All Over", he was married at the time, would shag a plughole if it had hair round it was what I read.

 

If anything like his brother is its deffo a tv face. Met Lineker a few times through a mates dad who took us to FA award presentations. Top bloke but does come across different on TV.

Now his bro who I've seen on TOWIE (while the missus watched of course) and in his bars. Who seems a dirty older bloke, who goes after girls on hol in his bars. Decent bloke though.

Not old enough to remember GL as a player but seems to have been a quality player for us
