According to Newsnow, his signing was announced on the BBC website at 1.00 pm today!? http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/Barnsley
Half his face is smiling and the other half is frowning. That's a neat trick, I fancy him at penalties and one on ones with the goalie.
There's a video interview on here now http://www.tv2.no/sport/fotball/england/championship/marcus-pedersen-til-engelsk-fotball-4107653.html Can't understand a word of it like! Maybe NorweiganFan can translate? There's an English bit with Flitcroft though.
That's bad hope he' s learned his lesson as something like that could cost bfc precious points. Don't mind him wearing a piggy mask when he scoores against Wendy though
Bit of a questionable way to celebrate but at least it shows he's passionate, think we've all done daft things in the heat of the moment.
'He is a striker who score goals for all the clubs he played at and will play in the English premier league one day. Very good signing for any team below that but he is also known for his drinking. He will need time to learn English game but will score goals because his positioning and runs are excellent' Just a piece I managed to get a reply on a Norwegian forum.
I think it is great having support from different parts of the world.......thanks !!! Hope young Pedersen is as good as Jan Aage Fjortoft was.........
Sure! He says that it feels good to have come to Barnsley, and that he is looking forward to play in England. It's not the premiership, but he says he's going to get there one day. He continues to say that he's going to "ravage" (I have no clue if that's the best translation, but you'll hopefully get the point.. ) here at Oakwell. He has been told about the Ponty end, and says he aims to score a lot of goals in front of the home supporters. Then he talks about nr. 19 being his lucky number when asked about whether he regrets having the "nr. 19 tattoo" as the number 19 shirt is taken. He says he'll score 19 goals then.
Indeed! I can certainly understand that most people on here would have preferred someone like Billy Sharp or Matty Fryatt, but I really do think Marcus Pedersen can deliver the goods once he gets used to the pace of the championship. He is strong, and he's a good finisher. Him and O'Grady will in time be a beast of a partnership up front!
Sounds like Vitesse can recall him at New Year from what I've read on Twitter. Just be our luck if he does well that someone pinches him in Jan...
Yes, I'm over the moon about this! The first Norwegian player for Barnsley since Fjørtoft. I really hope he does well. He has all the qualities to do so, but then again - that's not a guaranty for success.
Are you planning on coming over this season? I realise it's probably very expensive to get here from Bergen.
