Bet he's glad to be rid of all the crap that surrounds Celtic and their support.

Take the time to read that thread. Some pretty disgusting and pathetic posts.

Celtic FC - Scum of the earth.

Sorry but I don't know enough about Liverpool to make any judgements. But I do know enough about Celtic and their support and their twisted political beliefs.

As I posted, all you have to do is read the majority of those posts to see what they are all about.

MRX can I ask, what exactly is the problem with Liverpool? I know they feel hard done by what with the Heysel and Hillbourgh tragedies. Is there something else?

They're a disgrace and they are probably too thick to understand that Scottish soldiers have also died in many conflicts and that some of those fallen Scottish soldiers died to allow these disgusting scumbags the liberty to stand and sing their abhorrent chants.

I love Liverpool as a place, my missus is from there.

I've watched Liverpool many times and always been welcomed by strangers who have a laugh and a joke with me with strangers buying the odd pint.

But this was nothing to do with Liverpool.

Maybe Arabian Ian, a glory hunting Man Utd fan has fake hatred for Liverpool, in my opinion its impossible for a glory hunting fan to feel the same rivalry as a local.

    Well said Mario.

The thing is Celtic FC do the square root of fk all against those scum bags. Somehow they seem to lack the bottle to come out publicly against them, obviously incase it adversely affects their support.

What do you think would happen if they tried to hold a minutes silence for the IRA at a Barnsley game?

I would wager that the majority of the idiots who were chanting would be Scottish Catholics and not Irish Republican Catholics so it's not really a logical comparison. There are lots of Scottish Catholics in the British Army and there have been thousands who have died fighting for their country in past conflicts. If your politics oppose the will of the majority to support and honour a minute of silence then stay the **** away from the terrace until it's over with.

My Grandad was Catholic and died fighting Romel in North Africa, I would certainly respect a minutes silence. But if you look at the history of Ireland, from a Irish-Catholic point of view, a minutes silence for the British army? Not likely.

I find that a very strange comparison. There's no place for sectarianism, religious or political divide in football.
