http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/rochdale/forum/87448/the-boy-mccourt/#12 Sounds promising but a gamble.
Don't see the gamble mate. Good player just never given a proper run in the Celtic team. Joining us will IMO be a new lease of life for him. Great signing.
I liked this quote... "The natural ability he has to glide past players is an absolute joy to watch, and he'll have fans on the edge of their seats every time he has the ball at his feet. He can pass and score too!" Reminds me of another Scottish import that joined us from Celtic.
Paddy has already asked Jim O'Brien on Twitter where he can get some Bucky Jim, can only assume what that is......
One slightly worrying comment..."I'd say that the only player I've seen with more natural ability than Cog here, is Paddy".
Well according to this article; poor fitness, no desire, prone to injuries, doesn't track back: http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/international/where-did-it-all-go-wrong-for-paddy-mccourt-29482573.html Let's hope a new club gives him new motivation, although if he couldn't do it for the club he actually supports then I wouldn't hold my breath.
Wasn't a similar accusation levelled on a certain Ricardo Vaz Te when he first came? Wonder what happened to him?
Big Chris does have great ability, hard work over natural maybe, but has done his job superbly since being with us. I'm looking forward to seeing Paddy.
And some of them will forever know more. Ask one of your own. Anyway, Paddy... A genius who everyone accepted would play brief parts in games every so often, but those ten minutes were worth more than a season of most players. When you consider the nearest we've seen to him at Dale is Will Buckley (since gone for a million and rated highly in the Championship), and he's never been as regarded as highly as Paddy as an entertainer.
