Really bad form to let someone down in such circumstances. The cost per head for a wedding is ridiculous. As others have said, the important people will be there. Just enjoy your day.
Don't know you but hope you both have a lovely day with the true friends who ARE there. Congratulations!
Jam Drop......relax and enjoy YOUR day. You can't influence whether these "friends" turn up or not, so don't get yourself wound up about it. Those who will be present are the TRUE friends and they will ensure you have a great memorable day. RELAX and ENJOY.......you deserve it.
i'll come, is it free snap, and will there be any spare middle aged tash knocking about, failing that a drunk, ugly young en that would be grateful....................................................
which chuffing loon arranges a wedding on a bank holiday weekend ? seriously though, if those people want to spend the day remembering how crap Cleethorpes is rather than spend the day getting sloshed at a friends wedding there not worth worrying about, have a good day
Try not to let it upset you, Jamdrop. Had we been invited, we might have had to drop out too, as my 10 year old has just broken his two front teeth!! Seriously, just concentrate on having a memorable day. Many congratulations to you and your hubby to be!
Thank you! Hope your ten year old is alright. He's got impeccable timing, right before going back to school. I bet he's doubly looking forward to that now!
i got married last saturday and know exactly where you are coming from although luckily not one person dropped out of the day do. Had 4 or 5 not come to the night but that was no biggy and it was simply the best day ever - it was amazing.. and im sure yours will be too. Can imagine id be pretty pissed if id had that many drop out after all the caterers etc had been paid. If it had happened to me id be straight onto those that i didn't have room/money to invite for the evening. Im sure they would love to come. Good luck and hope it goes well for you. Just remember you cant change it once its here so just enjoy!
Thanks, JamDrop. Just got back from emergency dental treatment, and the dentist has done a fantastic job with temporary "caps". I suppose you are back to school straight after your honeymoon? I used to teach too, but left a good few years ago now! Hope the sun shines for you this weekend.
I am indeed. Get back what equates to our Sunday tea time after 28 hours of travelling, then back the next day. I'm going to die!!
I drove down from Glasgow to Yorkshire for my mates wedding, left at 1am to get back in time for work at 8am. If they can't make it from Yorkshire to Derbyshire for your wedding then they're all b*stards. Hope that helps.
