We play Wigan, make them look like world beaters, nobody else has been overpowered by them, we chuck a 2 goal lead away against a Charlton side that is struggling and who were being turned over by Donny today before the weather intervened. Blackburn have hardly been pulling any trees up but 10 men or not we shouldn't be leaking goals like that, other teams manage with 10!
Ok we have been a bit unlucky with games where we could have got something and haven't but that has usually been thanks to a contribution from us.
I know we have a few players to come back (thankfully defenders)Its not a moan just saying out loud what worries me

Which defenders do we have to come back who can make a difference?

    I have to agree.

There isn't a massive difference between the team in the second-half of last season and now.

I think you know what I'm drivnig at

    :)

    Same personnel, results are crap.

Flicker needs to get that "backs-to-the-wall" mentality back, and quick.

Cranie, Nyatanga and now M'Voto - all our 3 recognised centre halves, basically (?). Should make a difference, otherwise we really are buggered.

As soon as M'Voto went today, the collapse was inevitable. Jim, Wiseman, Kennedy, Goldie is not a defence against much at all. If we had lost any of those, we could have adjusted, but the only one recognised centre half? No.

It sounded like we gave them a game 2nd half and had their fans moaning by the end. And we have scored 4 goals in 2 games which isn't bad. Need to work on the structure of the defence, we have to be able to ride the loss of one player better than that. When it comes to a re-shuffle in the back 3, 4, 5 or whatever system we are playing - the most useful player was sat in the commentary box this aft.

Not far off bang on there. Two full backs at centre half was always going to be a struggle. We kept the ball nicely second half and created a few decent opportunities. Had we not had that sending off and goal against us it could have been a completely different story.
