Big fan of Steele but it's time to drop him, was at fault for 3 of the goals today.

    In favour of Ben Alnwick?

Not for me. Steele isn't faultless but I don't rate Alnwick at all.

Vastly overrated for me, should not be captain for starters. Good shot stopper but far too quiet to command his area and organise the defence, must be related to Dracula as he hates crosses, time to drop him and hope he gets his act together.

The problem is that any keeper will make mistakes when it's got that shower in front of him. He's made saves already this season that Alnwick can only dream of.

You all judge Alnwick yet we've hardly seen him play, proper fans us! Give Ben a chance, Steele thinks he's a garanteed starter and the minute Alnwick got it wrong Steele was thrown in to cover, it's Bens time.

Not seen enough of Alnwick to judge. Not sure if you've seen today's goals but 3 were clearly his fault, last one was a shocker. Looks like he's lost all confidence.

He's at fault for at least one goal a game this season. He doesn't command his area (especially six yard box), isn't vocal enough for a captain and all these years later still can't kick straight. He would have been gone in the summer if he could have got a better deal elsewhere. It looks like he's guaranteed to start for us no matter what.

So you're judging players on preseason? Because I certainly wasn't. Give the lad a chance, I can see him starting the Southampton game.

    Play Alnwick then.

    Squads there to be used.

    Personally, I'd stick with Steele.

Would Alnwick have fared any better today? Questionable.

Yes, a ball was shot at Steele which he pushed into his own net. Wiseman then told Steele to stay where he was as he had him covered but decided to ignore him and get lost in no mans land and got a ball chipped over him, complete stupidity by Steele.

Next time you are in the Ponty, turn your back to Luke and hold up a mirror. If you can't see him, there maybe some truth to vampire rumour. Or throw some holy water at him and see if it burns.
