What are we building here, a squad for a supposedly financially restricted championship side, or a bloody army? The squad is miles too big. Looks like we've already chalked **** on playing any of the promising youngsters, unless we intend to leave half a dozen or so well paid professionals sat at home on a Saturday afternoon. We're well on our way to doing that without any young lads in the squad. Cranie, Jennings, Nyatanga, Hassell and Cofie didn't make the 18 today for various reasons, not to mention young starlets like Digby and Noble-Lazarus. I wonder how much we paid that lot not to play? Where's the money coming from?

Speaking of Bobby, how can we concede 12 goals in 4 championship games and an experienced, competent player like Hassell not make the 18?

My dad was saying the same about squad size. Although I imagine the wage bill is about the same, lots of players accepted reduced terms and none of the big earners are still at the club (or are now on less money).

You're right though, we need to let someone go, just not sure who.

Been away, not seen many posts from you?

But Flitcroft wanted us to be more like a championship club, that means more players who can't play on wasted wages, The new Barnsley.
Last season has gone, he did well, this season, he's ****, it will only take so long.

Been to St Ives. When the weather's good, like it was while we were there, it knocks the spots off any seaside holiday I've had abroad. Someone needs to warm the Atlantic up a bit though. Makes the North Sea feel like a hot tub.

You need to have cover for each position

So we can be twice as bad when necessary.

Premier league teams need to name 25 I think

It can be the case that a a couple of injuries leave you exposed e.g. O'Grady (that's just one - what do we do then?)

It's a long slog this league business tha nos

Cos flicker doesn't like him. Simple as that. Must be. Can't think of any other reason to not use him. Talking about Bobby obviously.

    My take on it

We've brought players in and will be moving others out, possibly before the close of the transfer window. On numerous occasions in the past, we've sold players on and brought in replacements afterwards. It appears currently we're doing things the other way round.
On a different issue, although I'm pleased you've had a great holiday, it'll be good to see you at the match again.
