I thought we started the game fairly well, and then grabbed a goal. I haven't seen the sending off again since, I thought it was a foul, so I didn't have any complaints about it. A cracking free-kick from Cairney though. Josh King ripped us to bits at Oakwell back in December, and our chances of keeping him quiet were even slimmer with only ten men. Baffled at what Steele was doing in 'no man's land' for Rhodes' goal, and I've no idea how managed parry the other goal in either. Despite the scoreline, we played well in stages, especially in the second half when Perkins started to get on the ball. Pedersen looked good when he came on, and Cywka took his goal well. If M'voto hadn't been sent off, I think we'd have had a really good chance of beating them today. I see all the Hassell lovers have reappeared after another defeat. I don't honestly think he'd have done much better against the pace of King, than O'Brien did.
I can only speak for myself, but I've picked Hassell in my squad every game this season, on this forum. So I'm not one of the reappearing Hassell lovers. Thanks though for your comments on the game. But it's at centre half where most of us Hassell lovers would like Bobby. Wiseman right back against the pacey winger. But that would have meant swallowing pride and common sense.
That's fair enough. There just seems to be a select few that pop up, after a defeat. Don't get me wrong, I think he has a part to play this season. I'm not from Hemsworth. Hasn't he only just returned to training?
With what i've heard..........Wiseman should have gone with King........and McNulty brought into centre defence And then gone to 4-4-1.........with OGrady holding the ball up for midfielders to get forward But that would have meant throwing the weeks plans out of the window Flicka and the team have got to learn how to adapt on the day...........and quickly
Trained all week. Fully fit. Had a full pre season behind him. And it's not just one defeat to be fair. We've conceded 12 goals already. That's 3 per game. We generally concede less and win more when he plays. That's not just an opinion, that's a fact borne out of statistics. But seriously, I appreciate your post on the game. I nearly made a late decision to go today. Glad I didn't now.
Just seen the goals again. Can't make my mind up about the sending off. Interesting that three of their goals came via their right wing, yet O'Brien is taking much more stick than Golbourne.
