    does their red card stand?
    not seen it yet but will seem a bit harsh unless it was for smacking someone but surely have grounds to appeal if it could be argued the pitch had something to do with the tackle

    Yes. Didn't the same happen with us and a booking at the Plymouth game.

    Didn't the wrong player get carded? That's what I was told at work yesterday. Which would suggest it would get overturned. Like when the referee booked the wrong Da Silva brother when we played Man Utd a few years ago.

    I've not seen the tackle though so it might not be the case.

    Yes it did and it was a farce, the key points were:

    1. The result was wiped due to the game being abandoned (the game ceased to exist in this respect).
    2. Our player who was booked kept his booking and the disciplinary points accumulated (the game did exist in this respect).
    3. One of our players who was suspended and serving the final match of his suspension had to serve another game (the game didn't exist).

    The rules are a farce and the treatment of the fans, not just in this game but in countless games up and down the country, week after week, season after season, is a scandal.
