His testimonial season (10th season)... does it really count if he doesn't play a game? We've got so many defenders that Flicker will pick ahead of him (even Jim, who's not a defender). The squad will have to be completely decimated from injuries/suspensions and even then he'd probably only make the bench. Can't be very nice for him sat in the comm box, he'll feel like he's retired already.
Not a great situation. If I was Bobby I'd have gone and played a couple of years at Rotherham or Chesterfield or wherever. It's basically just a publicity stunt to allow him his testamonial. Thing is, if fit I'd pick him next game considering the lack of form and available defenders.
