Same old Barnsley Football Club. Same old disappointments. It's clear that once again we will be in the relegation dogfight. It's now thirteen years since we finished in the top half of the Championship and it's just getting tiresome being a Barnsley fan. I was looking forward to this season with optimism. I genuinely was. All that has evaporated. I tried to talk my mate into going yesterday but he wasn't having any of it. I should be grateful to him for saving me fifty quid. I was looking forward to going to Forest next month but I don't think I'll bother now. I'll save the sixty quid plus and go to see Soundgarden the night before. Obviously my views will be anathema to the professional supporters on here but I suspect I'm not alone. Let's see how the attendances hold up. I will go to games hoping that we can rediscover the excellent form of last season but so far I've seen no evidence of this.
I feel the same, the butterflies have gone. I will only go to the game next week because i have paid for my season ticket, and all i expect is another thrashing, and when each goal goes in i just wont care.
Tell you what, give me your season ticket if you're that negative and pessimistic. Some of us would give our right arm to be able to watch every week but unfortunately can't. I appreciate everyone is entitled to their opinion etc but this is the biggest load of utter cr@p I've heard in a long time. Prepared to be shot down in flames but sorry the last two posts just made my blood boil.
I was quite simply implying that dearest Conan was indeed a massive bell end (judgement based solely on his inane postings, I am actually sure he is a lovely bloke). The c*ck sucking I leave to his mother.
After witnessing 3 of the opening 4 games I'm struggling for any positives especially regarding our defensive capabilities.Fully understand your view but Conan and Offspring's posts reflect genuine concerns as to what the outcome of our season will be.Our defending is Shambolic and the goals against figure is once again the worst in the division. This is not utter crap but just an honest assessment of the current situation. Massive game on Saturday even at this early stage.
