I wouldn't let Perkins anywhere near the captaincy. He already tries to boss people about while taking no responsibility himself. We all know who should REALLY be the captain. The one person who has the experience, the ability, the temperament and the respect to do the job. Unfortunately he is being made to train with the kids apparently.
mmm... "no it isn't (over the whole season), but I'll bet at least 10 if not more will be goalkeeping errors." was what I wrote. Anyway feel free to be pedantic and pick as many holes in what I've written as you feel you need. I'm sure if you find enough errors it'll make Luke Steele the finest goalkeeper in the land and your fight for justice will have been worth it. Try reading other peoples posts though as I did. Accepting when something you write is silly like the 40% thing, like I did. Of course he won't be responsible for 40% of our goals conceded but the fact is he was yesterday. It won't happen every week and some weeks he'll play ok but he will cost us as I said 'at least 10 if not more will be goalkeeping errors'. I stick by that statement and that it isn't good enough. I'm assuming you don't think he will make any errors then? Or are you just stuck on the numbers thing?
crap defending for most but I think for the third he's culpable, if he's coming that far out either he comes with serious intent to get the ball or he stays where he is, player coming in from that angle could easily narrow his own angle too much by carrying it too far etc but all Steel does there is make the chip an easy option
The cross is high and curling away from him, there's every chance he wouldn't have made it to the ball leaving the net unguarded. For me he made the right decision and it took an excellent header to beat him. The 5th is clearly a nightmare for him and he'll be the first to hold his hands up and take the blame, but not every goal the opposition score can be attributed to mistakes by one individual. Sometimes they're just good goals. As a team we didn't defend well enough in that first half. That's everyone, from front to back including Luke. The sending off clearly disrupted our whole team. But I don't see the point in picking out individuals for every single goal when it isn't at all obvious they were to blame. In my eyes Luke made one gaff yesterday. I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks so the last time I saw him play he made three world class saves from penalties. I'm not ready to chalk **** on him because he made a howler when we were already 4-1 down.
Fair play to you Jay, you're entitled to opinion and yours is normally in-line with my own opinions. Not this time though.......for me, Steele should have done much better.
Some fecking retards on this forum , if after watching those goals they put them down to bad keepeing, whilst totally ignoring the fact the defenders were fecking shocking, especially down the left where we have 2 left backs on the field !!
I cant see many Barnsley fans claiming it wasnt a penalty had it been the other way round. Clear pen, surprised to read people on here saying it so blatantly wasnt.
