God we were awful that day, mate

We were lucky just to concede three goals.

Should have been fighting for our lives. Instead we were beyond pathetic. Going down with a whimper would have been an improvement.

Aargh! I'd managed to wrap that one up and bury it somewhere deep, but tha's dug it up. That really was the pits, and we were in the absolute depths of despair in the league as well. 92nd of 92. I'm not kidding, you could feel the weight of the other 91 pressing down.

West Brom away a few seasons ago, we conceded at least 7...nothing riding on the game but would have been nice for the players to have actually tried, a lot of Barnsley fans made the trip as well.

Coventry away that year was terrible. Then the idiots started sing 'you're just a town full of pakis' and stand in keeper Tony Warner couldn't believe it, turned round and shuck his head at the fans. Later Brian Howard was about to slap Souza before he got restrained.

Without a doubt the most gutless and spineless performance I have ever witnessed by any team.

Vic Anderson inspired 1 nil defeat at home against Carlisle sticks in my memory. As does a thrashing by Birmingham at home when Charlie bishop turned in one of the top five inept performances in a red shirt. Actually the worst I've felt coming away from a Barnsley game we didn't even lose, Wilson's first season in charge last home game of the season we were three nil up going into the last minute of the game and drew three all.

Thinking back now, Barnsley 0-3 Brentford in 2003/4 season was horrific too.

Norwich at home when we got relegated. Absolute joke of a "performance".

0-5 Birmingham away last season was another terrible performance witnessed by a Barnsley team.

1-0 defeat at bottom of the table coventry Feb 2012? was diabolical; 7-0 defeat at Reading 79/80 ish. Norwich 0-2 as already mentioned. Loads when Spackman and then Hodges were in charge!

Yeah. The Coventry game was awful. First time I'd ever seen a 10-0-0 formation.
