...has been lost. Small group of players grafting and grinding out results has been replaced with a f.cking massive squad who seemingly have lost the plot. He's got so many players he doesn't know who to play or how to do it. Will Jennings ever get a game? Same with McCourt. What about Cwyka? Dagnall? Cwyka and Dagnall score on Saturday and are then dropped. Our defence is leaking goals every week yet our most experienced defender sits in the commentary box. Our young lads are pushed back in to the U21s because we're signing too many so halting their development. It's a f.cking mess and needs sorting out quickly. Ben needs to say 'no' the next time he wants to sign someone. He's had enough. Get on with it, just like he did last season. Everything above was said about Hill yet I could see a style of play we were trying to develop and he never got the same support as Flitcroft has. But I see even less now.
I'm worried. Taking something that worked very well for months and then breaking it in a few weeks isn't great. Degalvanised
I agree Dyson. I'm not one for panic, but the start to the season has been disastrous. All of a sudden, Flicker's comments seem lost. How can the same squad who achieved what they did in 2013, be so completely shambolic. I'm sad to say I believe all the momentum and feel good factor has been shattered. Back to square one. In the fickle world of football, the reality now is that accountability will start to shift to Flicker. He's had everything he's asked for. It's down to him now. I'll continue to provide 100% support, but these batterings can't keep happening. Time to stand up and stay strong. Again
Agree. Too many now that he doesn't know who to play / where to play them. Last season never questioned any team selection or formations & tactics, this season though have done that most games. I've heard the interview from DF after last nights game and really don't understand his signing of Pollitt. He said Alnwick spent too much time as a Number 2, not played many games etc. Then he goes and signs a 41 year old.
I feel exactly the same. Our defense yesterday was all over the place- 3 players marking one fcking striker leaving the rest of the Southampton players free reign down either flank. Midfield was literally a gaping hole- their midfield players just strolled about looking for the ball and had all the time in the world to use the ball when it inevitably came there way. It was a total shambles no doubt.
RWB I get and Wiseman has been steady since he's come in. But there's an even steadier laiker in the commentary box which would then allow Wiseman to play wider.
The system he is playing is just not working!....go 442 for me with m'voto and Nyatanga at CB and wiseman RB, and Goldyy LB, a back 3 is not working anymore, a feel so mad that were so so ****! Absolutely shocking....hope things turn around, 3 points at weekend and a clean sheet, I will be one happy man again
Holy **** Dyson, got me worried now. I was trying to stay positive but if you are worried their must be problems. Agree about Bobby too, Flickers treatment of him is nothing short of disgraceful. He should be in the team at CB imo but to never even put him on the bench and leave no defensive cover is absolute stupidity. Fast going off flicker, who seems to be losing the plot.
