    Which is the biggest problem

Steele or the ones in front of him ?

I find it strange to drop the keeper and keep Goldbourne and Kennedy on the left, the 2 who got ripped apart for the goals on Sat, plus keep the right hand defenders that cannot mark their man in the side!

    Thoughts anyone?

It's hard to know where to start there's so much wrong. Steele is not having a good time of it but the signing of Pollitt makes no sense at all. At any other club if the first choice keeper loses form then the second choice steps up. If Flicker can't trust Alnwick then why did he give him a contract?

We simply have to stem the flow of goals somehow. The 3 5 2 system clearly isn't working but to go 4 4 2 against Huddersfield would be a mistake. They too are playing 3 5 2 but playing it very well by all accounts. We need to match them in midfield or we'll be hammered again. I'd go with 4 5 1 which would enable us to get some proper width to our attacking play.

    I'd go with:-
    Steele/Pollitt
Wiseman M'Voto Crainie (or Nyatanga) Golbourne
O'Brien (or McCourt or Cywka) Mellis Etuhu Dawson Jennings
    O'Grady

The Manager.......he takes responsibility for his players and motivation or lack of it. Whats happened to Flitcroft during pre-season because he's gone from inspirational motivator to looking out of his depth. He needs a positive reaction on Saturday from the players he puts out.

JOB is in Wiseman/Hassells position and not in front of them where he should be down the wing. If he dont fit the system then they shouldn`t be played in the team.

No penetration at all down either flank.

On the left Flicker's playing TK full back, and Goldie as wing-back, which he is not. The number of times Goldie had the ball on the wing, and then passed back or square; he can't beat his man, and both his two crosses were overhit.

TK seems to punt he ball forward hopefully, and often this gives away possession. To me, you can't play both these lads in the same team.

As for the right flank, all JoB could do was to hit a long cross from deep - as he's playing almost as a friggin' right back!

The set-up looks unbalanced, and Flicker/Mellon/Scott have got to get this sorted before the rot really sets in.

The new loan goalie looks no better than Steele, and a bizarre signing for me.

We seem to set up far too defensive and suffer by doing so. Attack best form of defence, let them do the worrying.

Golbourne was poor....but Kennedy wasn't ripped apart on saturday...Jimbo was..but by a Man U. lad who looks like he could be a top player this season,as to Steele, a bad decision to come off his line when otherwise Wiseman had contained the situation, and a failure to stop a shot that was reminiscent of Joe Harts balls up against Scotland...not sure if you can call it dropped tonight..just a league cup game..looks more like Alnwick was dropped.

Our defence is far too weak with players playing out of position (wing backs) in my opinion we should have kept Foster and let others go!

Youn talk more ballax every time you post mate! Stevie Feckin Wonder could see that the left hand side of the defence were rubbish ,Wiseman was nowhere near his man(again). Do you not see any problem with the defence last night, Saturday, Charlton etc etc.
