I worked at the pit............and although I wasn't a contractor I used to work along side contractors One of the contractors was a guy that never had a day off work and always put a shift in. One day a large lump of rock weighing about a ton came out of the side of the tunnel after they had just fired (blown the face of the tunnel with explosives) They decided to put more explosives in this lump of rock to fire it again. As they were boring into the rock with an 8 foot drill an explosive that was already in the rock exploded and sent the 8 foot drill through the guys stomach. So they put him on a stretcher and carried him out of the pit. The forman of the contractors was waiting at the entrance to the pit when they brought him out - he dropped his P45 on his chest has he went passed on the stretcher
A lot of ******** in this thread, exaggerations anyway. But Bob's book gets juicier with every passing week. OUT NEXT YEAR! READ ALL ABOUT IT! PRE ORDER NOW TO FEED SIR BOB AND HIS FAMILY. . But seriously, **** the wage decrease - he chose to stay because this club means the world to him and his family. That is a fact. It's his exclusion from the team and the captaincy thing that gets to me. Better than Tom 'Flickers Mate' Kennedy in his sleep.
Don't think this is the right place to be discussing a player's wage to be honest. However, I do believe Hassell should be getting a game.
But does he have total control over contract offers? Surely there were others involved in drawing up the contract offer.
Im guessing because Bobby played x amount of games last season contractually we probably had guaranteed a deal with him and he took us up on the offer much like the Andy Gray deal a couple of years back. No way Flicker wants him anywhere near the squad unless he has no other option. Poor as ****.
