Before I start I can't corroborate any of this as it is third hand and from an unknown source - I have been told Flicker has 4 games to turn it around and Mr Wilson has been mentioned! From my viewpoint I can't see the current higher echelons hanging around too much longer if things don't improve but I hope there is an improvement as Flitcroft and the team performed a minor miracle last season.
Did you post the same thing on TykesMad a few days ago? I would think this theory is miles wide of the mark to be honest. http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=50&fid=41&sty=2&act=1&mid=2112318644
Re: I'll shoot Got to be a barmy bit of 'insight' that one. The board would be mad (and very ungrateful) if they even considered that. I have stated many times that we need some sort of stability at our club and I personally think getting rid of managers every 18 months or so is bonkers. Leave Flicker alone, stop the rumours and back the team on Saturday
Re: I'll shoot Think there might be something to it (not necessarily a 4 game deadline) but if you watch the Flicker interview on Player, he does look like a man under pressure (obviously) and he's also using phrases like "I need fight from this group". He goes on to say how well he's convinced we'll do etc - almost like he's speaking to the board of directors. Would also go some way to explaining the Pollitt signing (panic signing etc). Maybe I'm just imagining it. Probably am.
Re: I'll shoot Who are the Board of Directors, wasn't it just Don and Barry Taylor and Don has gone and Taylor was the Hill/ Flitcroft supporter out of those two.
Re: I'll shoot Well since Flitcroft wanted total control of the football side of the club and Don departed I would guess that Cryne and Taylor backed Flitcroft in this and Don didn't, hence he had to go, I know football is fickle but you would think their support would last for a bit longer.
