I think we are a in a better position than we have been in the last god knows how many years. There are so many aspects of the club that are massively improved. It's a disappointing start, but we'll get there. The only thing that's concerns me is the pressure going on so early, Flicker's had a bad week, with the first poor interview I've heard from him today. We've got a stronger squad with a lot of players who haven't hit their form yet, but he has to pick Bobby or it'll do for him like it did Keith Hill.

Davey was dull, uninspiring, a bit of a ****** (I had personal dealings with him, not basing that on his results) and let's face it, not a very good manager, and he wasn't sacked off 5 games, it was as a result of his overall performance.

Was with you all the way there Mr C - until Sooty popped up from behind the desk............otherwise known as Bobby Foooking Hassell

If this guy has any feelings for the club then he should find another club and get away from Barnsley.............Flicker has enough stress on him without having to listen to ffoooking daft remarks about fooooking Hassell

Hassell's days at Barnsley are done............get over it FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think Bobby would be in many people's first 11 but he should be in and around the squad, especially taking into account the injury list. When you consider that we've got players like TK who are currently under performing, Bobby deserves his chance like everyone else in the squad. Bit of squad rotation and competition for places shouldn't hurt.

Why do you think his days are done when A) he did a great job for us as recently as spring B) our patchwork defense has been battered like no 5 game spell I can recall in recent memory apart from maybe the early days of the prem?

Agreed. How can a fit and able, experienced Championship defender, who can play anywhere across the back - be anything but an asset for any team? He's a great player to have on the bench and as cover.

You're welcome to your point of view Nudger, I'm okay with mine thanks.

    I'm 100% behind Flitcroft.
But I have eyes and ears and so I will question what are some barmy decisions.
    Can't wait for tomorrow.
    You Reds.

I know his days are done...........because in the same way I know Ronnie Glavin and David Hirsts days are done.

I would rather see those 2 players playing back at the WELL but I don't think its going to happen

To be fair, in Simon Davey's case, he was already living on borrowed time. He should have been showed the door in the summer. On the back of staying up in the final game of the season, he made 2 signings iirc, Adam Hammill, who had a slow start to that season, and O'Neil Thompson.

At least Flicker's come off of the back of a miracle. We need to start picking up points soon, and for me, if we get a settled back 4, the rest could fall into place.
