    Might be putting 2+2 together here and getting 5 but Billy is in Sheffield atm and with Flicker saying yesterday that he hopes a deal will be concluded today for a player, could it be Mr Sharp? Could be on his way to Wednesday too or even just a family visit? Who knows????

    think Flicker ruled him out when he said something like "we've possibly been targeting players that were a bit too high profile for us".

    It would be a reight signing if we ended up pulling that one off, but I'm pretty sure our forward line is going to be COG and Pedersen for the forseeable future.

    Local lad so I wouldn't read too much into it. I think he'll go to United to help them get promoted, possibly sign for them if they do.

    I suspect we've been in for him and possibly Fraser Campbell too, but yep, they're a bit beyond us I think.

    Yes mate. In his audioboo interview yesterday with Radio Sheff he said that he hoped to conclude a deal for a player today but didn't know if it could or would be done in time.

    I don't think Sharp will be coming to Oakwell this season. Bigger clubs would be in for him. I reckon that he could have a choice of more or less any Championship club and even some of the newly promoted Prem clubs (Palace and Hull) would use him as a good squad player. From listening to Flickers interview about signing a player that has come into great form I have a sneaky feeling that it was Maynard instead of Campbell. Scored a screamer in the cup this week. Might be wrong but just a thought.

    Isn't he a massive blunts fan? People complain that there is no loyalty in football, I think it would prove that for very few there is. Obviously if he ended up at someone like Wolves, or another L1 club with a bit of money (if there is any) then yeah you would say he is sacrificing his career purely for short-term gain.
