Probably common knowledge but I only just put 2 and 2 together . . . "On 30 August 2010, [Pedersen] was sold from Strømsgodset to Vitesse for about £1,2 million, and signed a 4-year contract with the club. ... "On 21 August 2013, Pederson joined English Championship club Barnsley on a season-long loan." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Pedersen So if he's as good as people are saying he is then maybe we need to keep a bit quieter about it. Maybe we could credit some of his goals to squad players or something.
He's here to break into the English game. If he does well, he'll move on. It's been the deal since day one, really.
Ah, right. Says here he's under contract until 30.06.2015: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/marcus-pedersen/profil/spieler_41609.html Wasn't anything about it on his Wikipedia page so I got all excited.
A question for the press to ask Mansford then....Is there a call back clause in the Pederson loan deal? Hopefully the answer is no, otherwise yes we might end up in January with another Drinkwater situation.
