I don't like the sound of whats happening at Bramall Lane.............. Its worrying times for Barnsley

Any success at Leeds or Sheffield has a detrimental effect at Barnsley with the loss of football supporters from Barnsley going to watch these clubs.

McCabe has created a high flying high wages club in the past - that sucked in many fans and also decent players from the surrounding clubs.
Would hate to see Sheffield United shirts popping up again from Barnsley Town Centre to Thurnscoe

I hope that this isn't going to happen again with this Abdullah guy - money being pumped into Bramall Lane casting a huge shadow over all other South Yorkshire clubs

He sounds like a very dodgy fly by night merchant to me. At least that's what I hope he is.

I really doubt that anyone who supports Barnsley and goes to watch them on a regular basis would defect to Sheffield or Leeds.

Plus the McCabe factor - he can **** a football club up.

    3rd division but they've got a hotel.

It dosent happen like that though does it.............dyed in the wool fans don't change clubs..............its when a parent or relative takes a young kid to their first match that usually creates a fan of a football club

"reight lad, seeing this is your first football match, we can either go and watch Barnsley play Huddersfield at the WELL..........or we can go to Bramall Lane to watch Sheffield United play Arsenal"

Not sure I understand this. Isn't Financial Fair Play supposed to be aimed at stopping sugar daddies pumping massive amounts of money in?

Yes I do believe he was the same guy..........but Master Bates went with the current owners..........who are not pulling many trees up there are they?
Only got to look at the transfer deadline day to realise that.

Huge shadow over South Yorkshire? kin'ell, there's over £1.5 million people living in South Yorkshire, there's plenty to go around.

Leeds once got took over by some wealthy Arabs.

There's more liklihood that Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool take fans from Barnsley than Sheff Utd. Kids are getting into the top sides they watch on TV.
