    Really?

I support Barnsley because my Mum and Dad decided Barnsley Hospital was closer than Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. I have never lived in Barnsley, but was born their, and I will support the club for the rest of my life.

In terms of rivalries, Huddersfield is my main rival, not that bothered about the Sheffield clubs to be honest, hope we beat them though.

I was born in Barnsley, I love football, I support Barnsley FC, thats my Saturday afternoon/Tuesday night sorted. I'm not sure if supporting a random Yorkshire team would express my identity as much as supporting Barnsley FC does.

We didn't get any supporters who live in the outlying areas and may have otherwise become sheffield united or sheffield wednesday fans? I think you'll find that's incorrect.

It will all end in tears as usual, if he's that rich why is he going for a 3rd tier club instead of a lower placed prem club. Another dodgy Arab ''related to the royal family". The dealings round the thugs have been iffy for years, don't expect owt else this time. If the unthinkable happens and they get to the land of greed and money get ready for the thugs fans screaming about ticket prices, the club not careing for the everyday fans etc etc. Radio dee dar will be full of " we want our club back".

    I wouldn't worry too much.
You can rely on Sheffield United and McCabe to screw things up however favourable the circumstances...

If we have a top club established in South Yorkshire with an investment of 100s of £MILLIONS while all the other clubs are in the lowly position that they are in..........then no matter how good Ben Mansford, Flicka or Maurice is they are wasting their time because Barnsley Football Club along with the Massives and all the rest of the clubs in the area are going nowhere.

McCabe says its a game changer for Sheffield United............it is also potentially a game changer for all the rest of the clubs in the area

Deadline day has seen £650 MILLION spent on transfers.........the announcement today at Sheffield United could be the start of the demise of competitive football in South Yorkshire

.its when a parent or relative takes a young kid to their first match that usually creates a fan of a football club

"reight lad, seeing this is your first football match, we can either go and watch Barnsley play Huddersfield at the WELL..........or we can go to Bramall Lane to watch Sheffield United play Arsenal"[/QUOTE]

And the kid replies who's Arsenal dad?
