He's doing well to encourage the team to perform at the next world cup i see. Pathetic. He's basically saying don't bother trying at the world cup IF you even manage to qualify, this generation arent good enough, why bother even having a national side until 2018? In no way am i bothered about the national team personally, i like to see them do well but i dont go out of my way to watch them but this bloke is the effin chairman of the FA, he should be the first to be encouraging them not fooking demoralising them and ruling them out before the competition has already begun. I like what Greg Dyke is saying......he is managing expectations. Fact is that the Premier League's Chairmen/owners will look after their own clubs and do not give two fcuks about the England national team. I have not looked at the statistics, but I am betting that the vast majority of owners/major shareholders aren't English anyway, so why would they support any initiative to help our national team, at the expense of their own club? The Premier League and Champions League is good for those that are involved, but is killing the wider football community. Greg Dyke has a big job to do.
He may get fired when we dont win 8 years time - or has he already retired by then. Has it occured to anyone that John Stones may well be a world cup winning defender if Dyke is actually right
Yep.....I have zero ambition for BFC to be in Premier League, just a solid Championship season and cup runs is good for me. Premier League is run on false economics and involves a helluva lot of cheating from players, managers, referees, etc.
