I think it is, the younger they are the easier it is but also the more boring it is, with the exception of 6th formers or whatever they're called these, teachers love teaching them because it's more of an equal relationship and they're more motivated.

I'd also like to point out there are people providing PPA cover working in schools who are paid minimum wage and who only get the statutory minimum wages as well, there are also teaching assistants who are doing an increasing amount of work who are also on very low wages, teachers don't have it that bad.

Think it is or you know it is? What do you base this on?

Oh by the way you couldn't be more wrong about that the younger they are the easier they are to teach!

I've done some PPA work and other work in schools for a lot less money and a lot fewer holidays than regular teachers get (that's why I don't do it anymore) and thought the Primary School kids were a lot more manageable, of course it depends on the school, Penistone kids are in most cases easier to teach than say, Darfield ones for example.

I said kids were more manageable - workload isn't. I've been teaching primary for 25 years and the workload is incredible now.

Yes but you've got all those holidays to do it in, plus the PPA time.

I was on a quid more than minimum wage and got 20 days holiday a year when I did it, I'd take the paperwork for the extra money and holidays any day.

I've been in 'a relationship' with 2 primary school teachers. I was amazed at the workloads they had to do, through the holidays, term time or whenever it was. Also the understanding of the kids when they had troubles, the parents they had to deal with or some the the horrible stories from their homelife. I will never say a bad word about a teacher now.

Also, they were both right dirty whores.

yes you might ,but the company you work for doesnt, every other private company has to pay in as well as the the employee, so the company you work for has to pay an amount for you as well as what your paying.

I think you are massively, massively misguided.

If you've covered PPA class time then I'd expect you'd see the stress & massive workload that all people in the school have but especially the teachers.

Not you mate - I edited that comment anyway.

By the way, they were my schools from 1992 to 1999. Who's your mum & step mum?
